Dolphins make it three in-a-row in Newcastle

Five tries between wingers Tesi Niu and Jamayne Isaako lifted the Dolphins to a 36-20 victory over the Knights on Friday evening, which saw them become just the third expansion team to win their opening three games.

During the first 40 minutes, the Dolphins dominated and managed to secure a 16-12 lead at halftime.

However, the determined Knights, led by a remarkable performance from fullback Lachlan Miller, refused to give up and scored two tries within five minutes either side of the break, putting them in a position to potentially win the game.

Despite this, the Dolphins made a comeback and took the lead at 26-18 with just 11 minutes remaining.

The Knights had a chance to get back in the game when centre Bradman Best had an opportunity to score a crucial try but unfortunately dropped the ball over the line. Moments later, Isaako’s quick consecutive tries put an end to any speculation about the outcome of the match.
