Koiari Kogeas defend Central Dabaris Agarobe 9s title

The Koiari Kogeas have successfully defended their Central Dabaris Agarobe 9s title, defeating the Apete Rats 34 – 4 in Thursday’s competition Final.

Despite being postponed multiple times due to COVID-19, the pre-season Nines competition attracted forty-four teams in the Men’s competition, and further twelve in the Schools event.

The top twenty-four Men’s teams took part in the competition Finals, with Anoina Naviu and the Minaru Storms claiming the Plate and Bowl Finals respectively.

The Koiari Young Guns won the inaugural Schools final, defeating Tokarara Secondary School 14 – 10 in a thrilling match at Sir John Guise Stadium.

Men’s Cup Final:

Koiari Kogeas 34 – 4 Apete Rats

Men’s Plate Final:
Anoina Naviu 10 – 0 Waru Saints

Men’s Bowl Final:
Minaru Storms 26 – 16 Kamasi Brothers

Schools Final:
Koiari Young Guns 14 – 10 Tokarara Secondary School
