Players Converge On Albany For 2022 Great Southern Nines

This week the NRL WA Preseason kicks into high gear as all roads lead to Albany for the Preseason Southern Ports Great Southern Nines.

Senior Men’s Teams representing Albany Sea Dragons, Joondalup Giants, Mandurah Storm and the far reaching South Hedland Cougars will compete for the trophy on Saturday and Sunday. Joining them will be sides representing the Western Fijian and Gur Wirimalpa communties who have received invitation to participate in this years competition by the Sea Dragons hosts.

And for the first time ever a Women’s Tackle competition between the Joondalup Giants, Gur Wirimalpa & Western Fijians will be held, which will also see the Kwinana Titans participate in their first ever Senior games. Women’s League Tag will also be on display, with Joondalup Giants, Gur Wirimalpa and Albany Sea Dragons participating in some exhibition matches over the course of the two days.
