Semi Finalists decided for NSWRL Men’s and Women’s Country Championships

The Illawarra South Coast Dragons will be aiming to keep their premiership hopes alive when they turn out for the Men’s and Women’s Country Championship Semi-finals this weekend.

The Dragons are the only region represented in both the Men’s and Women’s Semi Finals and will be keen to take full advantage of playing at Ron Costello Oval in Shellhabour when the Semi Finals kick off on Saturday.

The 2022 Men’s and Women’s Country Championships featured ten regions from across regional New South Wales.

Team are split into a Northern and Southern pool, with the Northern Pool featuring the Central Coast Roosters, Newcastle and Maitland Region Knights, North Coast Bulldogs, Northern Rivers Titans and Northern Tigers, whilst the Southern featured the Illawarra South Coast Dragons, Macarthur Wests Tigers, Monaro Colts, Riverina Bulls and Western Rams.

The winners from the respective Semi Finals will go on to play in the Final at Woy Woy next weekend.

Women’s Country Championships
Saturday 26 March (11.15am): NMR Knights v Macarthur Wests Tigers, Ron Costello Oval, Shellharbour
Saturday 26 March (12.35pm): Central Coast Roosters v Illawarra South Coast Dragons, Ron Costello Oval, Shellharbour

Men’s Country Championships
Saturday 26 March (2pm): Monaro Colts v Illawarra South Coast Dragons, Ron Costello Oval, Shellharbour
Sunday 27 March (1pm): Northern River Titans v Northern Tigers, Frank McGuren Field, Grafton
