Victoria to open 2022 Affiliated States Championship against WA

Defending Champions, Victoria, will open their 2022 campaign against Western Australia when the Men’s Affiliated States Championship kicks off this Friday.

After the last two tournaments were cancelled due to COVID-19, the 2022 event will adopt a new format, with each representative team to play their opponents in three 40 minute matches.

2019 Champions, Victoria, kick off proceeding against Western Australia at 1pm on Friday, before facing the Northern Territory Titans at 1:50pm.

The Titans will face WA at 2:40pm to wrap up day one. Days two and three will follow a similar format, with the order of the matches mixed up.

The change to format was brought on by the late withdrawal of South Australia.

The Affiliated States Championship will be held at Pizzey Park, Miami in Queensland.
